Enterprise Platform
Context
The project was developed for an enterprise Operation & Maintenance platform used by a large international company to manage the day-to-day operations of thousands of renewable energy assets. The platform represented the main access point for the daily activities of operational teams, centralizing the data, processes and tools required to monitor assets, plan maintenance activities and coordinate field operations. I joined the project during a phase of continuous product evolution, contributing to the design of new features and to the improvement of existing ones within a constantly growing digital ecosystem.
The challenge
The goal was not to design a single feature, but to support the evolution of an enterprise product while maintaining consistency, usability and scalability over time. Each initiative introduced new business and operational needs: integrating functionalities from other enterprise platforms, digitizing processes that were still managed manually, designing new modules and updating existing ones without compromising the overall user experience. At the same time, it was necessary to evolve the Design System to support the platform’s growth and ensure a consistent experience across all its features.
The process

Analysis and requirements gathering
Working continuously with Product Managers, stakeholders and technical teams to understand operational needs, define requirements and identify priorities across initiatives.

UX design and flow design
Designing new flows and optimising existing features, with particular attention to simplifying operational processes and maintaining a continuous user experience.

Integration and digitisation
Designing the integration of features from other company platforms and digitising previously manual processes to support the evolution of the digital ecosystem.

UI design and design system
Designing interfaces and continually evolving the design system to preserve visual consistency, component reuse and product scalability.

Validation and collaboration
Ongoing collaboration with stakeholders and developers during implementation and release, gathering feedback and iterating designs to ensure product quality and consistency.
The outcome
Throughout the project, I contributed to the evolution of a strategic enterprise platform by designing new modules, integrating functionalities from other systems, digitizing operational processes and evolving the Design System. The work helped make the product more consistent, scalable and better suited to support the daily activities of distributed teams across multiple countries, enabling the platform to continuously grow without compromising the quality of the user experience.
